Alone In Fear

Alone In Fear

A Poem by Mazie
"

Sometimes we need to be strong for those around us, so they can do the same...

"
I fear it, yet I can’t break silent tears,
Too many strong, I can’t let on my needs,
And strength they show, whenever I am near,
Will dwindle once they see the break in me.
Still life goes on; I fake the smile each day,
And laugh at pain which tears at me inside;
See not those fears but turn away;
Speak not those saddened times but all deny.
Too long it sat, a black spot in my eyes,
A thought I dare not see in each my dreams,
Taboo it was, the facts all hidden lies,
And nothing then was ever as it seemed.
Still I cry out around me now and then,
But loneliness remains my bitter friend.

I had this image of you being alone in your fears and those around you alone in theirs. I don't think a crack in your fake smile would be such a bad thing as long as it was accompanied by understanding. ( : O )

Alone with who we are is the hardest mountain to climb! But reach the top and light and warmth abound! Great writing well done!90

Even a rock can crumble and needs a little reassuring comfort from the constant strain !

A fine metaphorical, cerebral piece of poetry, splendidly penned !

Part of me felt there was a beast punching the walls, falling down, laughing than getting back up and punching those walls. It felt like a deep thought, but alone.
