Lost At Sea

Lost At Sea

A Poem by Tasha
"

Ariel and Nemos thoughts for once being lost and now found.

"
The oceans full of new opportunities,
and I'm ready to take the plunge
to become lost at sea,
or lost in love
searching for my prince charming,

While meeting interesting creatures along the way...
like Sebastian the Lobster,
Dory and Flounder... two very different fish,
and the Turtles that are like dude,
not caring about the world
or the keys that help me find my way

Being under the sea
can be great
it means getting away from my controlling father,
I know he means well
but I want to find things out on my own
I want to go through the trials and tribulations,
I want to go through heartache after heartache

I really don't understand why,
but I want to so I can
learn from my mistakes,

Then I'll make it home again...
safe and sound
so you can welcome me with open arms
because your baby is now found

And taken out of the sea of endless possibilities
an put into a tank of love, hope,
and much need satisfaction  and gratitude...

Author's Note

 Tasha
I combined Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Nemo from Finding Nemo and this is what I got. I hope you like it.

It wouldn't let me put Nemo's picture with the words. Can someone help... thanks. :)

I like the idea. As short poems on their own they each work. As a collective I had a hard time keeping it straight. maybe it was the jumping between character thoughts. They almost go together but seem to be just a little off at times. While this is good I would suggest reorder for a better flow of thought.

It takes a little bit of work to discern whose thoughts are whose, but I liked it!

I thought this was a good combination. The switches between characters were a little abrupt and hard to follow, but the third stanza kind of tied it together by showing the similarities between the two characters. In the last three lines, each one starts with "and"; you might want to just start the first line of that group with "Taken." I think it would still make sense.
