I Think You're The One

I Think You're The One

A Poem by Tasha
"

A good note turned sour.

"
I think you're the one for me
Because you're unlike all the others,
You treat me like a star
I'm getting the royal treatment,

I think you're the one for me
Because you make me feel special,
You make me feel beautiful
And worth something

You are the one for me
Because of your boyish charm
And adorable smile,

You had me wrapped around your finger!

I thought you were the one for me
But you led a double life,
You made me believe that who you said you were
As the real you.. But it wasn't,
You're just a crook in disguise
Trying to steal someone else's joy

I thought you were the one for me
But you turned out to be
Just like all the others

Unfortunately it does take time until we find the right relationship - that perfect fit. Some start well in our own minds, but end badly as you describe. Some never get off the ground because they are clearly not right! I hate admitting that I am a romantic optimist at heart - but I do believe that happiness and love are out there - sometimes in the least expected places. A nice write about love and the betrayal of love that hurts so much when it hits us. Well done.

What a saddening twist this piece took. What's even more sad is that this is usually how it happens; people are deceived into thinking they've found what they were looking for but the deception will inevitably be revealed... Usually to the heartbreak of the deceived.
Very good. A lot more emotion is packed in here than what initially meets the eye.

The pain of finding out that a man can turn out to be a d****e is 50/100. It would be a miracle to find a decent guy these days that don't appreciate anything. This poem was reflective really but you can really see the damage it cause to both people ending in dire consequences. Scary but we must hope one day the judgment will fall upon them and then they will be the one wrapped around our fingers like a useless puppet.

Well done in writing this poem for I never saw the twist coming but, then again neither dose anybody in real life in this situation. It truly is sad that their are so many people who pose as the one in your life but, at the end of some of them its just another game that leaves you with a broken heart and you described so well in a certain way. Excellent job on writing the one but, at the end he was just a fake just as the love. So sad but, keep up the excellent writings.
