Rising

 

 With each new day I see the sun

Rising over the tide,

It may be cloudy, but still I know

It shines on the other side.

 

Its color bright, its rays are warm,

Its faithfulness I hold;

Providing light for the day ahead,

My eyes have seen my soul.

 

A clash of thought ensues within,

Whispering truth and lies;

The clouds say I’ll never make it,

The sun says otherwise.

 

Storms pass over as I wave goodbye,

Then turn my head to see,

A glistening path lighting the way

To a better part of me.

This is a very beautiful poem. I love the way the words mesh with the photo. A wonderful rhythm, as the storm passes leaving my favorite verse� "Storms pass over as I wave goodbye, Then turn my head to see, A glistening path lighting the way To a better part of me."
