The Five Seven Five Slide... ;)

The Five Seven Five Slide... ;)

A Poem by Debbie_Philly
"

A Series Of Senryus that I have written some time ago....I first said Haiku... because it is a type of one.... but a friend reminded me that it is indeed a senryus . Thank you for reading

"
Winds of change blow by
Through my hair into my heart
Now it is welcomed

Just let go tonight
The moon will carry you through
The darkest of nights

All the lines are there
For you to reach out and take
any time you want

Sounds of the night dance
Shaking the foundation strong
Will stop the silence
My eyes are heavy
The slumbering winds call me
Cozy is my bed

Lovely Haikus and Senryus...whatever they are classified. Lol. :)
Actually the 1st, 2nd and 4th stanzas can be considered as Haikus because they are about nature like the moon, the wind, and the night. But they can be called senryus, too because there is an emotion in each stanza. The 3rd and the 5th are totally senryus because they talk about other things and how you feel (5th).
But since this is only one poem, this will be called series of senryus. And I love this 5x because I am fascinated with each stanza which can stand alone as a beautiful haiku or senryu if ever you separate them.

You're an awesome writer. Keep it up! :)

Awake in the night -
you can dance with the shadows
and call to the moon.

I love it.... we should callab some day ;)
Smooth flowing, each one - not always easy with senryu and haiku. The third is my personal favorite, but all have a thoughtful quality.

That reads and sounds like a whispered prayer ..

Beautiful these are, a chain of lovely colours or jewels, very bright yet subtlety set. You always write clearly yet the themes are so often complex .. that takes great skill, Debbie

Debbie, wonderful 5 Senryu's here... each one is filled with your passion,
and they are written on a right way from up to down... just lovely!
I've done so many haiku and senryu's too, all under construction right now...
But there will be some now and then, in between... I enjoyed this very much,
Thank you.
