Nightfall

The Night is like another world. It is both beautiful and frightening.

The bright Sun sets down

With its fading light that makes the sky golden brown

The crickets started to hum

as the dark hours come.

 

The darkness hides the Light

but it didn’t give my heart a fright.

The night’s sweet welcome of silence

takes away all my tense.

 

Both sound and figures disappear.

The loud noises and everything are no longer there.

Even the city lights are covered in murkiness

And it makes my eyes visionless

 

In this peaceful Night,

Only shadows stay behind

These make my blood run cold

But I’m already bewitched by the beauty it holds.

this poem popped in my mind when I stayed out late yesterday.
