Never leave

Never leave

A Poem by Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot

I walk out the door to see your pretty face
    You stand there sobbing
I sit on the porch swing and my head hangs low
All you do is walk the front porch in a pace
I walk in the house and see a jar of pickled grenades on the table
Next thing I know I'm in a car chase with the Fratteli's
I walk through the police station and get shot in the arm
Now I'm back home and your even more unstable
I walk over to kiss you on the cheek
But you just push me away with a jolt
You fall right before my eyes, and I start to cry
I fall to my knees, feeling too weak
The tears roll down my shirt sleeve
As I try to revive you the best I can
You say you love me with your strongest breath
The rest of my life is just bleak, never leave

Wow! This is beautifully sad and full of painful emotion. Nightmare's haunt us until the day we die no matter how we try to rid them from our mind. That being said I think you did a wonderful job in capturing the imagery and expressing the painful thoughts! Well done! :)

It did seem like a dream of terrible endings (nightmare).
You did well describing it, and in a poem too. ^^

Aye, same here. I write mine down when I can't forget them, it always helps. ^^
Full of suspence and emotion... creative but very dark, a dream I hope I never have and sympathize completely... wow, a very compelling piece, great write but I'm sorry it has to be so vivid in your mind.
