A Poem by Donkey!

2004-04-08

As my thoughts fade toward the skies, I hope what I feel is everything but lies. I wonder if your eyes are on the same start, hoping that it’s not just another waiting scar. The distance that separates us only draws me to be closer with you and if we both stand the test of time we’ll find out if this is real and true. So the nights just keep on passing by, but rest assured that you’re still on my mind. Don’t look down, keep your head up high and always look forward, never behind. As I lay in bed, wondering and thinking, agonizing thoughts, hoping and praying, that our time won’t be wasted that our meeting will be hasted. So whisper to me out loud, show me where you are in the crowd. Wait as I find myself through and finally meet up with you.

About
My poems are from when I was in High School. They're old and I was young, and probably could've been written with a better flow, so bear with me. I myself am currently enlisted in the Marine Corps.. more..
