Taming the Monster

Taming the Monster

A Poem by Mak(ayla:)

Laughter....
I hear it all around.
Every direction of every room
People's faces with the big clown smile
Painted upon them.
I catch myself, sharing small laughter,
But not like the rest.

The emotions are all gone.
I feel nothing at all.
There go all my f***s to give,
Out through the window,
And all slowly disappear.

I feel twisting on the inside.
Just pushing at the surface.
It's steadily turning inside,
Trying to escape,
But my outer shield has it
held down by nothing, but heavy chains.
Taming the monster...

A bit dark...but I like dark.
A grinding of the soul.

Enjoyed your pain...

We all have an inner monster. I know I do. It's not easy to go through everyday and keep it chained up. It sometimes needs to come out and have some air. A monster deserves it's freedom. Just depends on how well you could bring it back and keep it under control. I loved this!

That's an interesting introspective. It has a good flow and pushes the reader to the end. Solid work
