Overmorrow

Overmorrow

A Poem by getinthecarplease

Homeward sailing on wispy seas

of phthalo and celestial blues.

Bronze cloudburst veils my skyland

o’er dusklight wayward cruise.

Piper weaves tranquility

as foxes crawl in scarlet hues.

Dawn crests my overmorrow

with halos atop mountain views.

Streaking watercolor wavelet jewels

brush ashore from a distant storm.

Summer canticle and petrel song

echoes aloft in rainbows reborn.

Crimson berry autumn wreath

upon my brazen spiral horn.

Moontide maiden wanders her beach

in seaweed chaplet and haunted form.

Ocean fane of pink coral gardens

lost in pillars of patron play.

Wight kiss for lamplight lovers

wander mists by stony quay.

Sweet fragrance of sunlit flowers

line the piers on a teal bay.

Dolphin shone and shimmering whale

exit their isle in twilight spray.

This is a very beautiful poem. I love the style especially. It feels like a classic. My favorite line was: Streaking watercolor wavelet jewels. So pretty. Thanks for sharing!

I enjoyed this poem. The way it rhymed, allowed for it to flow smoothly and it had a calming feel to it as I read.
