breathless

breathless

A Poem by Emily B
"

another walk

"

I feel you closer.

Colorful flashes

of brilliant light

haunt waking hours.

The vagaries

of your nearness

are too much to whisper

except

you make me breathless.

Oh this is beautiful. A pleasant surprise after dem lukewarm pieces...hehe ;-)
Seems as though although the moon is no longer shining, the dawn simply brings insomniac induced visions of the last evenings activities. The leaping Cheshire leopard! The hypnotic spooks, made magical by alluring moonbeams! A poets memories. And shooting stars. Ahh, yes. A quote may rouse me, but trepidation seems to be your breathless aphrodisiac!
A great contemplative piece!

Oh, the feeling of breathlessness which makes makes you yearn to inhale and exhale just to remember that you can. When you can feel him closer, when you can feel when he isn't there, breathless is amazing.

Well done!

oh, wow, that last line... Makes me wish for a woman to say that to me, and mean it when she does. I like this poem. It left me as the title. Nice work.

this is stunning though I am not at all suprised, dear Emily..Your magic simply grows the more and more we read of You :) Lovely...all it takes is the notion of Your presence and I am left without a single breath yet that is how I want it to be...to be dazzled by Your shimmering soul :)

breathtaking~ my mind eye opened on the brush of eyelashes against a beloved's cheek~ the light caress~the feather touch and unhurried tranquility of your poem leaves the same sensation with me~
