The Gathering

The Gathering

A Poem by Einstein Noodle
"

if this poem sets a certain mood for you, though the video is ten minutes long, you might like it ;)

"
The Gathering
my gloaming passed
nonchalant, fine silken silt sifting through
window and door with disregard
IT collected like crows convening in
Oaks of empty scabbards
rattling raucous discord the
dissonance has abraded comfort ......... you, your
ice pack shouldered: when?........................i
can not garner - the melded colors have become too thick
crows stilt stepping little yellow claws tic
tic old frozen earth
how could i divine such a thing
your leaving as the flock suddenly bursts
an ice pack proffered for my disease ...... this
heart.

This truly is a wonderful poem, story, visual - a painting in words, in fact. Tis one of the best i've read for a long, long time. Now why do i say that.. thoughts just sped out of me?!

Your use of language, the way you've broken your phrases is as if your eyes were moving here to there to here and then, there.. watching the flight of the crows... watching their behaviour, their arguing.. and how perhaps, you were reminded of Life.. how things and behaviour work inside it, roots up.

Know that if i read your poem again, other wee scenes and feelings will buzz around my early morning head. That is what good and sincere writing is supposed to do, but rarely does.

Wonderful: (.. the melded colors have become too thick

crows stilt stepping little yellow claws tic
tic old frozen earth

Damn, your poetry always hits me like a ton of bricks, in the best way :) You have such a style to your flow that saturates the reader's senses, superb! :)

Ah, bless you hon, thank you, always my pleasure :)
The imagery seeped into me like winter's cold but the theme passed into something like a question, somewhat understood but with a dim light.

Al

You're most welcome. Oh, thank you for doing that.
well E, you ain't dead yet, thank goodness so send those crows packing... with a sullen, yet breathing poem as this one, it shows your heart is still warm and beating and it will not go "gently into the night" as another famous poet put it...

anyway, E a very nicely written poem says I...

Do not watch the videos or listen to things on here, most times my own brand of music is on t.v. My thoughts went to watching the birds in the snow falling getting to the feeders here. Pecking away to get to the frozen suet blocks, Valentine

The imagery of communing with nature was fantastic... and then suddenly I thought it was about trying to forget a lost love. The emotions are wounded and dark. The music is lovely....the lyrics touched me. Feeling like a child again....free, innocent. If only we could recapture it all. Lydi**
