and we danced~

and we danced~

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

..contest write. For Blue Rose cafe challenge

"

and i danced..  as if in a hazy dream

                                    like a ballerina

amid lilac's heavenly scent, on a sunlit day

                                  and there you lie

in a pitch-black room, sad drowning in misery

                    and i danced over to your side

come love i whisper gently, take my hand

                                 and there i stood

waiting determined to break your mood

          and the smell of lilacs grew stronger

with an unpleasant odor

                                   and there you died

as i held your hand in mine

        and then in the black room shone a brilliant light

  and we danced~

I love those sort of dreams have precious few that I remember but usually when i do they are so poignant. I love the Lilac reference I have so many things attached to the smell of lilacs. beginning to think its a poet thing:) that picture and message makes me want to jump into that painting and take that hand

Thank so much.. a little late but i so appreciate.it
Very interesting & surprising storyline here! I couldn't imagine what was coming, each step of the way. And when I got to the end, it all makes perfect sense. Awesome imagery, gracefully representing the sensations of dancing.

Determined to break your mood. Powerful wording. Intriguing use of the lilacs symbol in relation to death.

Well done.

Thanks Philip;
so vey much appreciated;
A beautiful tale with a positive ending. The story reminded me of dear Grandparent. They loved to dance. I can see them dancing in heaven today. Thank you Fran for sharing the outstanding poetry.

You are welcome Fran.
Aahhh....determined to break your mood.......such an apt description of those who are not flummoxed by our grumpiness and remain able to spread their light and love until we "turn".

Beautiful writing!
