Cherish

Cherish

A Poem by Gabrielle Henry

Life is full of things
impacting in ways
as large as a meteor
or
as small as a raindrop
friendships bloom
like flowers
on the side of a blue brook hidden
away in forests that you would never
think to explore
cherish every last sunset, laugh, blade of grass
every memory
because they're running out
like water drops down
a slanted rooftop.

Very sweet expression that may make one optimistic about life.
Love the lines:
cherish every last sunset, laugh, blade of grass
every memory
because they're running out
like water drops down
a slanted rooftop.

Beautifully written. These things that we take for granted are slowly evaporating. Take the time now to appreciate them before they end up in the gutter.
