Shammanic Journey

drum...

traffic close

intrusive...

railway bridge

trains rattle past

yet...a way through...

path following

drumbeat

into wide universe

to a place where

joy can live in stillness...

dancing drum

companion on journey

into pure existence

drinking deep from

wisdom well of guides...

loved ones...animal helpers

tiger close...path cloistered

by tall arching trees...

time to return...

a soul journey...a pilgrimage

into fullness of life

drum...

Very primal and powerful. I hear the drumbeat behind this poem- great use of repetition. Shamanism -"a way through...path following drumbeat" - Strong, mystical, spritual imagery. "A soul journey"- your poem invites us to embark..wonderful.
