Thank you, Sharon!
Good title that suits the theme of your story. Clever word play and well crafted story about a poet. Excellent brevity. Well penned. Write on!

You're welcome.
Well, is July a six word story month? I am finding so many of them today and all are so descriptive, unique and extraordinary in themselves! :)

Check them out, sometimes they're fun.
Wow amazing. Just recently, I came across Knock by Frederick Brown. He begins his short story by describing the shortest story that exists (two lines long, as written below).
"The last man on earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door..."
Your piece reminds me of these two lines. So cleverly concise, Love it!

I just came from Jacob's page and read one from him like this kind of thing : Six Word Short Story. Now, I understand.

Metaphors, Oh how I love metaphors. Such beauty to let the poet weaves words so creatively, such challenge for the readers to think outside the box.

I liked the story --very much, Sarah.

Lol... Poets love metaphors, sometimes too much, but there's always room for more irony, or maybe it's just me that can't get enough... Very fun Sarah:)

Yeah, I'm a lover of the metaphor, I'll admitt it freely... :)
Your metaphors are untouchable, for they are into the next level (DOT).
