In a world of constant change
My feelings for you remain the same
I'm attracted to your beauty and your complexion
But more importantly I'm in love with our connection
Truly believing what we have is a rare find
This kind of feeling doesn't come around all the time
Trust me, I know, I've been through a lot in my time
I know what I want in life and that is for you to be mine
I found you when I wasn't even searching
Met you when you were hurting
My instincts kicked in and wanted to be a hero
Save you from all the bullshit you were getting from that zero
Cause what I saw in you I couldn't find in anyone else
The feeling you gave me was one I've never felt
So raw and so real, we clicked so quick
So unbelievably fast feelings emerged, I trip
But as always bad timing I guess was the case
Nothing new to me, never the full cake, just a taste
However that taste of happiness was so sweet
That it created a burning desire from my head to my feet
You left me wanting more and I didn't even try to deny
Cause I know what we had was real, I never did question why
So I trusted my heart and kept faith in you and I
Weathered four months of storms and black skies
You conflicted so much pain in me without a clue
But still I stayed patient and true to you
Cause I believed what he had was something worth fighting for
Something worth hurting for, something worth waiting for
And for once I was right, or at least seems that way
You finally came back around and now it's next to me you lay
My patience, it seems has finally paid off
The happiness you brought back in my life is priceless, no cost
Holding you close, with my arms wrapped around
Listening to our hearts beat together in the background
We talk all night as if we were never apart
The feelings  come rushing back just like the start
We stare into each other's eyes and read each other's minds
It seemed as if being together again, we stopped time
Holding you and looking up at the stars in the night sky
I secretly wish to myself, please no more goodbyes..
