You

You

A Chapter by Hannah Roi

You tell me that you care,

That you're always here for me,

But then tell me where you go,

When it's you I really need.

You tell me that you understand,

that you've been through it all,

No need to cry when time and sand,

Rip down every wall.

But then, if you know everything,

Why don't you see the tears?

Because if you knew everything,

You'd realize all my fears.

If you really knew me,

You'd know what tares me down,

But you just cannot see,

And I'm left alone to drown.

You tell yourself it's right,

That it's all for my own good,

But you don't hear those sobs at night,

Now tell me, is that good?

Are you really helping me?

By tearing down my walls?

By taking away the only things,

That even helped at all?

By taking away my everything,

Pushing me back to start,

Leaving me with nothing,

Except a torn-up heart.

You tell me that you care,

That you're always going to love me,

But if you knew, then you'd be here,

If you knew, then you could see.

You tell me that you care,

I know you think that's true,

You've left me hurt and bare,

The worst part's that I love you.
