Long distance romance

  Nervous as the clickclacking broke the silent intervals up
A bowed-down crease formed upon her lips
         Unspoken histories revealed through digital prints
     As warmth spread about her in internal wisps

   Nervous as the ticktocking counted past moments gone
      His demeanor drew upon taciturn instants
 A poison flowed along electrical currents
        As he lay beside his mind on the floor each night

   Anxious they waited
    Through breath deep and bated
  Response and repose
     Across a future unknown
Lay two dreamers seeking escape
