The Day Heaven Fell Like Rain

The Day Heaven Fell Like Rain

A Poem by Inner Rain
"

My 100th poem! PARTY!!! HAPPY Poemversary to ME!!! :D

"

Thunder and lightning cursed the sky
In buckets, treacherously did the rain die
Every second, one man fell to their edge
As the air swam with death and revenge

Clouds of crimson dust float the time
Hearts and hands rotting on the ground like sunbaked limes
To fallen souls, the angels sang away their pain
This was the day heaven fell like rain

This is quite an emotional poem, even though it's rather short. The strength of this piece, is your use of imagery! Also, you have applied a genuine rhyme scheme. I would be interest to know, how you were feeling, at the time of this write..?

It has a dark tone, and reminds me of a prophecy or warning...about dark times ahead... Thankyou, for sharing this with us, Inner Rain! Nice writing!
