Apple red Scars

Apple red Scars

A Poem by Joshua Gerlach

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Apple red Scars.

The deep wounds may never heal,
even not with proper mending and treatment.

The scars will form red, and shine as blood.

If thou shall crack the dread whip once more, my heart may break,
and cease to form again the scars that held it together;
Bright red, like an apple, like blood.

Excellently rendered with a magnificent, old-fashioned sentence structure.
