Shoveled swiftly when I was not looking

I did not realize

The sun was so far above me

 

Seven years you played it so well

Moving me deeper and deeper

Lower and lower into your mire

 

My eyes have been opened

I see you for what you are now

Abuser, liar and thief

 

Shame on you

Shame on me for letting you

Even enabling you

And so it goes

 

I will step by step remove myself

From this pit

But you will remain down there

 

Without me

 

You have actually dug your own hell hole

Not mine
