Drawing and Poem Four

Drawing and Poem Four

A Chapter by Natalie C and Gary H Collaborative Writings

Photobucket

I am a crucified cross with arms of green leaves
perfect on each side these veins bubble with life
Growing to perfection in spiritual contemplation
a seed planted into a round nectarine world
Head bowed looking to earth, different eyes peer,
hidden behind a mask swimming like fishes
Black comes the dark one marked with a star
white remains slightly hidden, waiting, debating
Roots prevent escape into air of freedom
as all becomes engulfed in red yellow flames
From tormenting depths disguised far below
mouth conceals screams, sucking out belief
For all that is left is now lost in the white light.

very good job in observing every detail of the drawing gary, even i didn't notice the eye marked by a star. your words seem to bring this one to life, i feel like those eyes are actually popping out of my computer screen. the drawing is even more vivid, such great attention to detail and so very creative. kudos :)

I don't like this one as much as the other three I read, maybe because it reminds me of James and the Giant Peach, the children's story. I also found the picture disturbing, though I am really not sure why. It is well written, just not my sort of thing. XX

I like this one best of the four. both the image and the words. like the first line and 'nectraine world' Also the star and the contrast between the white light and darkness.

The poem and drawing make me think of gods looking down on what they have created.
The seed was perfect, but the plant is much to be desired.

Indeed the White light always saves and there belief shall always be, though some or even many may not realize or see because as you so aptly put the darkness hides and confueses with smoke and mirrors....but the white light always shine bright the path and clears away fear and subtefuge!
