My fine friend froggy and I
like to walk beneath the starry sky.

At the sight of his new leash his eyes bulged big
as he took in the site of that awful green rig.

But out we went to walk that night,
With the stars shining so beautiful and bright.

Froggy and I were hopping right along,
and he was singing a froggy kinda song.

When I fell right over a big ole branch
Causing me to swear and my face to blanch.

As I fell down upon my knee he took the opportunity
and slipped free, hopping on down to his girl-froggy Dee.

They sang beautiful music in the light of the moon.
Chorusing lovingly to their own special tune.

First off, the title is engaging. You have such an empathy for nature and that comes through along with the humour, an awesome poem

Very cute! Can't get it out of my head - the image of froggy checking out his new leash with those bulging eyes. Magic.

This poem is just plain fun. Good rhymes, too. Walking your frog on a leash--what a splendid idea! Judy, I think you may be almost as silly as I am.

Never heard of leash-walking a frog. (Although, when I was much younger, I knew this hippie chick who wanted me to...but that's another story.) Must be hell to get that leash on, in the first place.
Doesn't take much of a leap to enjoy this fun-filled ditty. I know I did.
Versatility thy name is Judy.

"Their own special tune"...might be considered bull-throated passion. And how deep is their pond, Judy? Knee-deep...knee-deep.
