Ga'ladriole

Ga'ladriole

A Poem by Judy Ponceby

Within his grasp
a fine blade
of
entwined metals
befitting this warrior.

Waiting to taste
first blood
in
battle.

And so
our warrior seeks
a fitting
name
for such a blade.

His mind wanders
through the great deeds
of his
ancestors.

At last settling
on the most
fearsome of all,
he holds forth
his sword
and gives its name
to the
Gods.

I feel this verse must go on. I read a lot of reviews. One such review was about what a great pome is. Robert Frost said,"The enlightenment of the mind is how a pome is ended". I believe he is right because it is the ending that gives the wisdom you talk about in yout "About Me Notes". This work can be the beginning middle or ending of a greater story. I never end my works. I simply say a "work under construction". Then I come back to the work at a later date when I have more to add and build onto it. I think you should think about doing the same with this. I would love to see an "Odisity" here within. Great job.
