Some Angel

Some Angel

Some Angel you have become

some graces I still see

in the soft whisper of a moonlit sky

as the wind stirs the stars

and the nightingale sings a serenade

              beautiful and wild

I breathe the scent of dewy leaves

and roses blushing as they blow

my senses ravished

Is it not the sweetest dream?

to find a piece of heaven…

I feel you

yet…in my heart there is a quiet ache

born of a hundred sighs and the burn of tears

and the night,

                that longs to answer

for the one I dream of cannot dream of me…

                Some angel you have become

You write with such beauty and grace. The flow of your poem submerse me in this tender charms. Angels are the beauty of poetry and are used in every which way. To spread the words of love around this poetry town. Dreams are the imagination of poets everywhere and in your dreams only the sweet things come true. Love your style been reading your for years. WIth much joy in my heart your poetry is the best by far. My heart beats with joy with every word.

You have become an angel of whom i dream of.. tragic you can't dream of me.. ouch!! It hurt Julie. The hundred sighs and burn tears- no one to wipe that pain away..I was able to connect to it. I just slept to your sweet lullaby of bitter longing. Excellent write dear :) xxxx

It was a pleasure dear :)
Reflective longing is such sweet sorrow, you've written it in a whisper but the angst comes through loud and clear. Dreaming can be detrimental to our well being sometimes. :)

Angels can be so close to us, and can be so far away...dreams can feel so real, and so far away...this piece reminded me of how even the sweetest dreams can become bittersweet when we wake an realize we're still here in the real world, with no angels to be found...a painfully beautiful piece, and truly moving...well done my friend :)

Thank you for your insightful comment :) Julie
The problem with angels is they know they have divinity on their side... and those damn wings to fly away when ever they see fit.
