The Blush

 

I remember our very first touch

your beautiful lips, the blush

of pink so smooth and tastes so sweet

the exhilarating rush

as you took my kiss and now my heart

beats so much softer… still

you may keep the kiss for none since then

has left me such a thrill

 

A thrill I fear I cannot disguise

with pearls and silk in place

with just a look you see beyond

the blush upon my face

beneath the lace where passion flows

in feelings so surreal

as I long to drink from your sweetness

should another kiss you steal!

Julie, Most of your poems do not contain rhymes, but when you DO a rhyming piece your ability to write remarkably beautiful rhymes is second to none. I believe that I told you once that I sometimes read or hear something (a song?) that makes me think, "Boy, I wish I'D written that!" woop woop ! Some women (and men) just can't hide the fact that they have been 'touched' deep inside by a lover because their own bodies betray any and all attempts at 'playing it cool' - deep flushes run from decolletage to the face and stay there for ages. I love girls that blush... jus sayin. lol
