been reading some James Baldwin

within in the ambrosial, 

there is no promise,

a new day will come

madness teeters for every man 

yet, life was meant to be spent 

wholehearted

scales will tip for all of us

eventually the scales will - overflow

a price to pay? 

NO! 

heart open 

unwilling to hide 

fearless in a world who 

wishes to mask what is

is it really madness?

perhaps just a dive beneath the surface 

oh life, please take me on a deep dive 

allow me to feel until my my chest can bare 

the ache no longer 

allow the depths to present me the fear so I too 

can pass through

let 'this' me dissipate into what is 

and what is? 

you life, you…

not bearing enough hands

to hold all the reins, surely screams - 

life was not meant to be lived 

fully in control 

is it not in the unleashing,

where this life 

truly prevails?

As ever your writing fulfills a brief, 'something to consider' Admit after the first read I held the thought that people vary the ingredients put into what seems most vital. Life- death for example But then - pause to think, analyse a while - I agree, more or less. One has to move on, grab what's going, because it might be gone next time you look! But as some feel, good things can't just be picked off tree; they are chances not yet born. Third read - okay take a chance - Now and Again - leaving deeply entrenched cynicism behind!! See, you do magic thoughts from.. :)

Nothing ventured nothing gained. Sometimes you have to stick your head over the parapet. If you don't do that, you run the risk of missing out big time. Sometimes you have to be brave, especially when it comes to love. Equally that can be applied to other situations too, like the work place or even our own art. Dive in says I. Your third stanza full of wisdom KWP.

really appreciate the prayer quality of V7 ... the hunger for truth about one's self and the Divine is what i see ... fear!! an enemy with many faces .. the first of many i think. you know i love your stuff .. i think this one hits closer and closer to home ... such a journey the inner life eh!? so much conflict and pain .. fear, pride, lust, confusion and anxiety to boot!
