My Paper-Mate

You know when you've found the WRITE one...

I want my inky companion to know that I will love him for life,
And when it comes to showing my love, I promise to rock him right.
My affection for my pen is true
Although it used to be that any old pencil might do
To jot something down real nice and quick...
But I have made it so that my pen and I are joined at the hip.
A little graphite might have come between
by being convenient, but not as long-lasting,
And lasting impressions are what it's about,
Not one that is quickly and easily rubbed out.
Don't get me wrong...my fling with the pencil meant a lot,
But now it's me and my pen, and together, we're HOT!
I will continue to display this loyalty
Until the day I start collecting my royalties.
And even then, I'll show my pen the utmost respect...
He'll be right there with me, endorsing my checks!!!
