Something About You

Going out with my friend,

On an average Friday night,

I thought it would be fun,

Then along came this guy called Doug,

And there was just something about him,

That I couldn't wrap my mind around,

I didn't want that night to end,

Didn't want you to leave baby,

And now my friend's saying maybe,

We're perfect for each other

I don't know what it is about you,

That gives me butterflies,

Cuz I'm thinking 'bout you,

Almost every single night,

Only saw you for the first time,

Just the other day,

But there's something about you,

That keeps drawing me in,

Like the sound of your voice,

And your beautiful grin

Well there's something about you,

That makes me wanna smile,

And baby I can't stop saying your name,

Cuz that word drives my heart insane,

And it won't get out of my mind,

And I want to say it all the time

Author's Note

Okay so I'm gonna write out the whole story because I'm really excited to finally be writing this!! :) So on August 31st, my next door neighbor Gabby who's like my best friend asked me if she wanted to go rollerblading. I was kinda hesitant at first cuz I've never rollerbladed ever but I figured I might as well go. She told me that there was like two other guys going too and I was like ohhh thats awkward but ya soo I went :) And that's where I met Doug :) When I first saw him I was like ooooh hes kinda cute :P And the entire night Gabby swore he was flirting with me and I was like pshhh noooo! But ya so on the car right home I was talking to him and stuff and he was making fun of me because I was a freshman and he was a junior and all that stuff :P And Gabby's dad dropped him off and as soon as he left Gabby slid into the backseat and started flipping out like saying how cute we were and that she was gonna set us up and everything and I was like getting all giddy :P haha! But ya then after that we started talking and texting each other and it was great! :) October was when we officially started dating and yeah :) hehe :P So ya I wrote this song a couple days after I met him cuz I just couldn't stop thinking about everything!! :) So I hope you like it!! :) <3

That is the best part! I think it's a great title - it so expresses romance immediately! I think your note is really interesting too and that's so much more romantic than my initial moments with previous boyfriends! And it's so surprising when you see them again and think 'woah how could I have not seen you for THAT LONG?' I was so glad you expressed that too, Krista!
