The Madness of Red Desert My Lady Gaylene

The Madness of Red Desert My Lady Gaylene

A Chapter by Lafayette

You know it was a Madness of Red Desert’s

 My Dear Lady Gaylene

I see here at dawns' end, it was true;

Your openness I found so hard to believe then

So many wounds still laid open in mornings cold

Fresh the cuts, I would have told you

Could I have only but known, you'd understand

Had I been able to see - then

Pass the darkness of those who said

They spoke the truth - and lied

Had I not trusted, the ones that came before, you

With my heart, my love

What other safety is there, if not in your arms'?

To late found true, admits the blues of Casa's pink coral

Hung, so lovely about your neck

My Lady Gaylene

More than life, is this love, for you

Pass all the death’s, of new and old worlds

I have known, the night-mares of being without your arms

Without your love, to save me;

When standing in the pouring rain's

I can think of no other place, save in your love

When approaching is death touch

For what hope, in this addiction of you is there for me?

What antidote, can be proscribed, for your love?

For your lips, that once engulfed me

Or for the smiling

Of your eyes meeting mine, finding lost in deep forest

What hope for me, when now lost again

When parts of my soul, are still intertwined in you

What hope?

Had I been looking closer, able to see

I might have seen, you turn

Just a little more this way, or that

Had I looked closer, I might have seen the feeling

Was real the love holding fast to truth.

I remember hand in hand

We were walking, our horses at our side's

The Unicorn’s, always followed you, in the forest's early dew

Come to me here "

Come to me now

Let me love you - you me

While resting in parks

Before mornings yet spoiled, with days rush

And the hurry in which man now conducts life

This constant search for you

Upon hidden paths in gullies thicketed

Where on river banks

Your thighs, and cold black nights, profess love freely

I look for you.

You the most elusive, of all the transformed Unicorns

Still, there are things, better left unsaid

When all is spilt into nature's laughter

If, we do not meet, in autumn, will forget to bloom

Upon the edges of cooler days, drowning in your love

Your body rolls off mine

It gives me precious moments, to study the motion

In which so Much of my life, has come and gone

Like thunder Rolling over cliffs, giving hope to shore below

You have been my beach, my comfort,

My life and death " my rebirth

I will see you, walking towards me

On the backs of dolphin’s,

Even as the dirt, is thrown, upon this Empty ground

It is your face, held most clearly, my mind remembering

Your eyes, holding mine " across a world

It is your name that will, silently spill over my lips

As I cross into forever, this time forever

I give your words back to you here

"Our world is on fire, our love at stake

   Forgive but - don’t forget"

My Lady Gaylene - Never

Past death, it’s your eyes

Still holding mine " across lifetimes
