Little Shadow

Little Shadow

A Poem by Leigh
"

"Every frightened little shadow dreams of being a golden strand of light"

"

I am a little shadow
In the land of grey and
black
I drift between the trees
Among the dark shadows
So shadows be still
Don’t drag me down

I wait for the night to end
When the first of light comes
Then I can be free
To dance and play
As a
golden strand of light
High up in the air above

I will make beautiful colours
Shimmering on the water
Reflecting on a window's glass
Making pretty patterns
Until the night comes again
So be still dark
shadows

A nice little earthly piece Leigh that flows well. Not sure about using the words shadow and shadows so much in the first stanza.
