A Haunted Mind

He has been walking for so long.

His sanity is now gone.

For days he has had conversations in his head.

With a girl he knows is dead.

To him it's like she is really there.

This torture is not fare.

Because in truth the girl he could not save,

Is still six feet in her grave.

And no matter how far he keeps walking.

She still keeps talking.

He sometimes  begs her to go away.

But it seems she is going to stay.

So the girl he knows is dead,

Will forever be living in his head.
