The Natural Course Of All Things

The Natural Course Of All Things

A Poem by Karina Longo
"

Just a thought.

"
Often scared, never really prepared
Dilated eyes, head full of daggers.
Sins twist within - what a selfish burden
Helpless help is all I've got to offer

Turn your back to the rain -
but the sun burns forever and it's
no shelter
Clean up your sepia memories
of recent violence
Everything is even scarier if seen
in your coloured-mind-TV

Random thoughts of success and suicide
The opposite extreme always meet
at the same obvious end
Here we all exist, waiting to die
But just a few really live, as many are already
dead inside.

You manage to convey concepts and ideas that would never have crossed my mind if had not been for you. I find you refreshing and this poem only fuels my astonishment with you and your work. You're fantastic, my dear. Everything you write has left me breathless.

just a thought, yes, but deep and profound!

I enjoyed your words, particularly

You have written such truth here Karina, few really live, as many are already dead inside.......they have given up on hopes and dreams, they merely exist. Thank goodness some of us are still truly alive. Well penned

I love it. Reminds me of Richey. He would have loved this as well.

That was just beautiful. Beautiful and the writing is eccentric to all feeling.

You are amazing. The statement is true. Few people tried to live their way. Seem we get twisted up and wishing to be in a different place. Complete poem is excellent. I like how you make your poem with logic and strong words.
