War Isn't The Answer

War Isn't The Answer

A Poem by LivingDeath
"

About the wars going around the world and what it is causes for the youth and families in the midst of the destruction.

"
Really what is going on
in this world that we call home,
is the price of oil
worth a babies life alone.

Kids walking through the streets
of blood soaked Afghanistan,
why are we in this fight
why do we need this land.

The government is corrupted
sending money to fuel this war,
why not feed the homeless
and all who are to poor.

Kids growing up with needles
in the dark they hide,
because all their families are dead
resorting to teen suicide.

Is this what Bush wanted
to destroy a humans dream,
to take away their everything
but the echo of a scream.

Starving in the dusty streets
people die with every day,
with no clean water to keep them alive
what more is there to say.

My father once told me
a quote with a sigh,
"When the rich wage war
it's the poor who die."

I think Bush was protecting our country from the attack of 9-11. I think it is the other parts of the goverment and obama that wants the oil. And war really is a necessary evil to survive. Great poem.

I don't think Bush foresaw such horrific portraits being painted. I hope he didn't, for the sake of those who pledged their alliance to him. Most Americans wonder what the true price of oil is. Nice write.

Every word of this poem is extremely true. And your father's words are very true. The government knows what is going on, but they simply don't care. All they think about is making a profit and putting everyone in their place. Fear and corruption is all that this government is, and one day it will be put to a screeching halt. This poem is incredibly inspiring to me in a huge way. Wonderfully done. Great job.

Your father's words are true. Many large companies are getting wealthy off the dead of war and the war machine destroying great cities and killing the innocence. Last week a great general was fired. He told the press. We are fighting war for Obama now. There is no reason for us to be in the Middle East. A powerful poem. Thank you.

People seek for peace through war. Ironic, isn't it? But, it's happening.

great work man, you've really done it with this one. war is just far too big a problem for us to handle, yet the more powerful and important won't help. you would have made mike shinoda proud. awesome

very similiar to Linkin Park's "Hands Held High"
an issue that needs more attention from the higher ups.
great job!

Very very true, like I was told "the world has been, and still going down the shitter." War is rarely the answer to a problem, and sometimes not even that. Good job

Now I have Confrontation by Otep stuck in my head..."It's the rich man's war but it's the poor that die"
Nice rhyme. Seemed effortless. :)
