Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Lorame

My Darling

I felt you today when I closed my eyes

The warmth of the sun on my face

The breeze playing with my hair

When I opened my eyes I could see your smile

Free, flying, floating in the light

Wings of a butterfly sweeping it across my mouth

Your voice I could almost hear in the brook

Such a wonderful rush of serenity

Water flowing over rock was your words soothing my soul

I almost felt like you were with me

My Love

I miss you tonight as I wait for you

The coldness removes hope for you

There is a stillness that suffocates me

Such gloominess surrounds me as I look for you

My heart is too heavy without your smile

The butterfly’s wings have been broken

My ears are now filled with silence

Breaking into my soul like shattered glass

They are all the questions of why you are not here

Please come to me soon

Oh this is beautiful. She experiences him in the day hours when she is outsiden but in the evening hours when she's inside she notices his absence. Isn't that always so. Sometimes its hard to see positive and the hopefulness in the evening hours. Lovely.

This has some really beautiful imagery. It's much more than a simple "I miss you" poem, and for that, I love it.

Sad but poignant I found it a deep sorrow well stated.

Sadly poetic and beautifully written.
I like the fact that you don't say much
but it still speaks volumes. I guess less
is truly more. Well done...

I have felt this way .. you brought the feelings back ,, the Waiting.
This is a good poem and it leaves the reader feeling melancholy and a little sad..
Passionate writing...

Very peaceful first half, I could in a way picture what all of it might look like, full of light. The second half was a little less bright, could feel somewhat of a slight emotional change into longing and sadness. The strong longing for the one you love to come back as soon as possible. Great job with the whole thing.

I smiled all through reading this, even though in some moments I felt like I should be crying. I love the emotion you give in this. The longing you share. The courage you show in not being afraid to be vulnerable, not being afraid to show yourself. Your a really gifted writer, poems like these, their from the heart, it's a piece of your soul bleeding onto the paper. I admire you for this. Thank you for sharing this with me, I really enjoyed it.
