The question

The question

A Poem by Kimberley Reid

Kiss me and tell me did you find it sweet.

Kiss me and tell me if you feel complete.

Because I don't, I never do.

I never do, so don't worry;

It has nothing do with you.

Blame it on the men that I went through before,

Blame it on the men that twisted me through the core.

Hug me and tell me do you think I'm warm.

Hug me and tell me, if you will protect me from my storm.

Or will you kiss me and say the same,

Will you kiss me and put me to blame?

Amy Macdonald once said "don't tell tell that its over, when its only just begun."

When here I amScreaming goodbye, getting ready to run.

You say such nice things, so cooing and sweet,

But would you ever lie? Would you ever cheat?

Or would you leave me wondering,

Wondering once again what it takes for me to be complete.

I try to believe the world isn't just a dark place where it's always only about all the "Me's". I believe in the little things - doing them just because I can, not because I have to. I believe in listening, sharing, and silence as well.

So yes - the kiss is sweet - eyes closed or open so long as it is meant and freely shared.

This poem was extremely good. I like the questions it asks and how you have answered them. I enjoyed reading this today.
