You bring us the view of a young child about to lose her mother. They seem to have a close relationship, and the separation they face seems to be more of a permanent problem. It could be death, or possible a marital separation. Either way, we can really feel how this young child hurts as a result. I liked how you brought us that perspective.

This poem touches my heart the way a young child touches my heart when she sings a simple song of love and purity. Life isn't always simple, but our feelings can be when we let go of things that cause resentment. This is a lovely poem.
