Golden LeafA Poem by Luke L
A golden leaf atop an autumn tree
Falls down to meet me A blade of sharp-cut grass So caring she is She inspires me to be better Strokes my ego Or does she just see greatness within I love her gaze Her stares how she loves me With her whole being Her brain, eyes, toes, lips Her heart, ribs, belly, hips And long smooth limbs Like a tree slowly growing towards a light She sees Gorgeous soul with her words I will not try to compete She uses them so well A master of speech That earns her keep to speak For those whose wallets are full But their energy is too weak I want to love her like Led Zeppelin songs and Marvin Gaye tunes alike I want to give her the love she shows me Her friendship and her desire she holds Deep in her womb I appreciate her so much © 2013 Luke LFeatured Review
