It's a cold, lonely world that I live within
It's me against everyone trying to put me down
Like a junkyard dog living in a hollow tire

Maybe I have friends
Maybe family
But you can't live my pain with me
Your shoulder to cry on doesn't help
Plus I'm trying to make it for myself

You can't give me the life that I love
What I'm going for
So my work and my life
I have to go this part alone

You can't offer me the advice that will work
I have to find this alone
I appreciate your love and support
But you can't put in the work for me

So I do this alone

An interesting concept of seperatism... On one side of the line, I agree with you; in the end, anything worthwhile must be achieved alone. No one can put in the work for you, nor can they give you the ambition to do the work. On the other side, however, I believe that people need people. We are not "lone wolves", because even "lone wolves" are a myth...they are pack animals, save for the mating for life bit. I think in a lot of ways, humans are herd/pack animals as well...we cannot live without some kind of human contact, support, interaction, etc., or else we tend to go a little loopy. So, even though you said you didn't want it, here's my shoulder to lean on if you ever need it. :)

hey thanks :) Sometimes I feel detached, like to achieve the greatest I seek in myself I have to take time alone, because if I involve others most of what they say isn't applicable to my goals, and I feel like I must create, because a lot of the art I could give my attention to is crap, so I have to create more great stuff myself :p

Sometimes I separate myself from everyone I know and it's almost like I need to go into a cave for a while but I eventually emerge back into the light. I do understand what you mean about wanting to better yourself and not wanting advice that just reminds you where you want to be. You just want results and the steps getting there do seem like a long uphill road and can be frustrating. But do know your family and friends only say those things because they truly care about you! You are not alone even if you want to pretend you are. If you do want to do it alone then they will be on the outside cheering you on! If you want it bad enough, you will obtain your goals!

Luke, I've read much of your work and always admired the heart and soul you honestly pour into each piece. And this one is no exception. Much in life we do have to go alone, but when it comes to friendship, love and understanding, we don't. Here is another friend reaching out to you.

thank you very much :). I really don't like being around people unless I feel I am doing things I am proud of in life, if I've been slacking off recently I don't like being around people I feel like I should be working at those times. I hope even fictitious pieces I write have that feel of honesty.
