Child

Child

A Poem by Luke L

Suzie was a superwoman
Making souffles out of cobwebs and dust bunnies
She always make sure
To show her child all the affection
Additionally the attention
Yes she was attentive
But her child couldn't pay attention

She loved her child as her own
Even though he didn't share her race
Or look much like her
He wasn't potty trained
But somehow she never ran out of diapers

A furry child with button eyes
He didn't say much
But she always hugged her son
She knew he could hear her
Knew he could feel her

He didn't move though he wasn't afraid
When she took him out for a walk
She always had to hold his hand
Even on the slide she always had to push
And he would just look at her with that some expression
She called him "Bear"
A strange name for a child, I know

That's good …. Funny and sad.
