Friday Nights and You

Friday Nights and You

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

never too tired for some things!

"

so sleepy
almost too sleepy
to support the blue in my eyes
                         and yet
taking a deep breath
i exhale thoughts of you
till my skin borders on yours
and each letter of every word i type
is a stroke of your hand on special places
a tingle
having nothing to do with a yawn
escapes my lips
i breathe you
now as night pulls its curtain over the blue of the sky
i crawl into that special place
the one in the crook of your arm
undressing my primal desire
for friday nights and you

Been too long since I read a Friday night poem .. and boy, did I miss it! As always the deep romance, wild anticipation and tender sensuality in your words gets me every time. So, so good. I always end up reading your poems a couple of times to enjoy the sensation of your words. :)

Always a wee vixen you Lydikey....this one warms the heart, it's comfy like a soft whisper, with sensual undertones and an everlasting appreciation. A diamond in the sky for Friday's rush.

A woman after my own heart. There sure are a lot of women in here who don't follow the stereotype! What a lovely little gem this is.

The stereotype is so off....and so archaic! Thanks, KL. Have a good weekend. Lydi**
What??? A poem about Friday posted on a Thursday - are you trying to confuse us??....LOL
It must be those strokes of the hand on special places that got me confused!!
But WAIT, IT IS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I really read it and thought it was Thursday - Oh God, I need a break!!!
I'm still blaming it on those strokes of the hand on special places!!!
Another great FRIDAY NIGHT WRITE!!!!!!!! - I got it right this time!!
