i kiss the morning

i kiss the morning

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

what a beautiful morning this is!

"

photography by julia trotti

wilted blossoms

burst into a rainbow of color

words once concealed

         come out of hiding

fluffy dandelion wishes

             are sprinkled with stardust

                    till they are gloriously tangible

wrinkled thoughts

                          are ironed to perfection

         filled with hope

i kiss the morning awake

'i kiss the morning awake'..
I swear i heard the morning sigh when i read that line. There's something about mornings...they are full of energy, but they're also full of tenderness. and for a poet, they are even more special. your words drift just like that gentle murmur of breeze, brushing away those last remnants of fear. so very uplifting. your poetry brings such joy, Lydi!

So pretty, as I look out into the cold gloom. Please, spring, come back!

dear Lydi... butterflies and dandelions
bring color and hope into our day.
To kiss the day good morning
in a field of dreams is to embrace
an awakening of lust for life.
Your poetic kiss will ripple
across the water as sunshine
sparkles like diamonds.
truly... Pat

Lydia I have come to the conclusion you can take something ugly and turn this into beauty on what flows from your heart down your pen on all your writes. Thanks for sharing Lydia
