She knows its her fault but wishes that he would simply understand

Its all my fault
That we lost our friendship
And our love

I wish you understood
How much this guy means to me
And how much I love him

I know it's hard for you

Knowing that you love me

But Jake
The fire we once had for one another
Burned out

It's time to move on
And get past the memories
And the love we once shared together

I wish we could still be friends
And be able to talk
But I guess that won't ever happen.

I wish it wasn't my fault
Our friendship died
And we forced to say goodbye

Love is a hard emotion to deal with. I am glad my love even though we aren't together is patient with me and lets me tell him that I love him. I am glad he is willing to be friends even when I still send him love poem, but I think that is because he still has feelings too even though he is seeing someone else. This would have to be a hard poem to write. I'm sorry but I feel sorry for Jake. You can't lie if you don't feel that way but I still feel sorry for him

You're living and learning the tough stuff in your youth... good that you are writing thru the pain and thoughts... hope it helps you heal learn and grow from this heartbreaking experience. Think most humans must move on from at least one love in their life... sometimes more. Sometimes it's beyond difficult to continue but, hopefully the writing and the shoulders of your friends to lean upon and hands and words that'll pull you through and if needed they'll boost you forward an watch you sour once again.
