Butterfly

Butterfly

A Poem by Mayank

My friend was bold
Her skin was cold,
She floats like a butterfly
Disappears, in the blink of an eye.

Friends never break heart, they are here to take away whatever they want. But it was fun though ;)
One night stand...or Reminiscence of that...or something like that.

something like everything... a cold friend and cold night....
It's sad. It's a lovely poem.But it's sad with a hint of nostalgia.

Thanks Meraki, glad you can connect with it.
Haha a clever write. And to manage it in brief words make it well-penned.

Although, I feel that it should be "Disappears in the blink of an eye."
I'd like to believe if she was cold to one person, she would not hesitate in repeating herself ;)

Well done.

That was short and kind of depressing. Still a lovely read. You said so much with so few words. Great work.

Thanks dear...
This could mean a few things but I read it as someone who' has come to a tragic ending in their life, floating to the heavens... Lovely job here provoking thought.

Thanks Ana for the review.
A plot left open for the readers to submerge their minds in. There is a drastic change in the emotions and it comes to crashing halt in four lines. Serene and woeful yet a reason to embrace the change can be perceived too. Interesting!

Thanks Sindu for the review. Yeah, that's my bad habit to leave plot open for readers.

Oh! An allusion that probably destiny had come knocking at her door and it was time to embrace the innevitability of Life. If that is so .... It is a hard thing to accept, learning to leave, learning to embrace the little time left and also for those who are around her which could make for an intense proposition.

Substance changes it is truly imperceptible to they eye.

Thankyou
