These Fears

These Fears

A Poem by Melanie Jane Boicourt Shanks
"

This doesn't really fit me. It was just fun! I am actually not scared of things like that.

"

I live with these fears:

worms in my ears,

 beetles on my toes

and spiders in my nose.

I live with these fears:

blood in my tears,

 poison on my tongue

and pollutants in my lungs.

I live with these fears

that I go through the years

with these fears in my brain.

Do you think I’m insane?

Good writing, it has a classic feel to it, kinda like the books you read as a child in the dark. I liked it.

Not insane. Just normal. To fear is to be human, even if that fear is not rational. XX
