A movie behind eyelids

It's been a while...

On the wings of dreams I sail the clouds

Lost in the moonlight’s embrace…

Where magic doesn’t hide its whereabouts,

Where thoughts and worries have no space…

 

And oceans of stardust paint the skies

Wave after wave of endless delight,

And wishes unravel in front of the curious eyes

And beauty is shining in all of its light…

 

The world is brave, the world is fierce

Full of hopes and wonders,

That are hidden in the fields full of fears

Baiting minds in making terrible blunders…

 

And those brave enough to cross such a field

And gather a blunder or two along the day,

For them a new adventure is revealed,

Where love is always only a smile away.

Not sure how strange it is to not dream but I seldom wake up and can recall one, whereas my wife dreams disney, horror etc every night often relaying these to me in the morning over coffee. She also wakes up sometimes and hurls her pillows at imaginary figures in our bedroom, strange eh !
I love rhyming verse that is well written so very much enjoyed this

:) my brother also says that he doesn't dream at all. I do not think that is a bad thing, or that it indicates anything...
I can relate to your wife very much though, i remember several dreams practically each night, could probably write books and film movies based on them hehehe

I love the peaceful dreams where I'm a child again but wandering a fantasy world where animals talk and I'm the hero. Where the reality of nature is painted differently than in the real world. And where love appears to be everywhere. Thank you for sharing your wonderful poem.

there is always that classic film behind the eyelids, but in front of them, what we actually see, is often
a movie that is too dark for most to notice or review...
Poets watch different flicks than most.

Seldom happens that I don't title a poem until after it is written...but once in awhile...I get a title and absolutely MUST write a poem around it.
