Survivor Woman

Survivor Woman

A Poem by Nish Nish the Fish
"

a tale of a woman so brave and strong to have overcome such tragedy.

"

She struts down the red capret,

dressed in confidence,

embracing her innocence,

having Le a   p  e d over her fence of fear.

Now the crowd longs to hear,

her songs of new cheer,

of this new found happiness,

since her tears disappeared.

The crowd longs to see her new act,

of her incredibly raised self esteem,

and of this glow upon her face,

as if she won some olympic race,

she keeps a bOuNcY pace,

as she skips down this grand aisle with grace.

Her pretty smile swims through her pretty face,

and her pretty face gives stage to her pretty eyes,

as she says her goodbye's

to her ugly sorrows.

She has defied the gravity that so many had thrusted upon her,

she's defeated every worry, every kind of pain, and every  disturbance.

she's lived through everyday that hated her, and dived into every opportunity that

tried to spit her out.

and now, having jumped her fence of fear,

embracing her innocence,

dressed in confidence,

Survivor Woman struts down the red carpet.

This is striking in form and flow, what I admire most is the crafty effort, the wording and linebreak,
the design is elegant, the meaning brings to mind what transpires as a lonely suffering-
no matter how bright the light the outside appearence is projecting. like masks.
but at the same time showing the strength of a woman able to persevere, excellent rendering.

I loved this poem. I like how you formatted the words and also the usage of the red color (because pink is overused). This just made me feel so good about being a woman.

Thanks for the feeling and for an awesome poem to top it off :)

This is sad, but beautifully written. Nicely done.

ayy,
guess who found you?
i took up your suggestion, i've been lurking writerscafe for awhile.

joined, then went mad, posted what i could.

etc.

you know i love your writing, you know i think you're sensational.
this is a good piece that comes from the heart, and i can tell where YOU are in it.
which, is a good thing. :)

you, my dear, will always be an inspiration to me and i hope that you go far with everything you try to do when it comes to writing, eh?
