My dearest muse

My dearest muse

A Chapter by Moonie
"

~suffering from a writer's block~

"
My muse is sleeping,
oh wake up, dear sweet heart.
You have missed so much.
So much has happened.
Your sleepy little blonde head
needs to rise and shine.
Now blink open your amber eyes,
startled by the sudden light,
catch the flaxen strands that
have escaped and tie them neatly.
Wake up, dearest fair friend,
no prince is coming,
it's only me....
with a saucepan in hand!

Though tragic to the writer, you found a way to make me smile at the horror of a muse in silence. How I hope the feast in the saucepan brought more words than a poetic soul could dream of. Let the muse flow in the fragrance of every scent around you.

BTDT -- IKHYF. Writer's block, an creative block really, is so frustrating. It's like a part of your is strangling. You just keep trying to get something on the page… This was a pretty good way to break the block. It speaks to me of some of the reasons for creative blocks, such as the demands of caring for our families. It's certainly a more affecting creation than my own attempt to break writer's block (my poem, "Blurble, Glarf"). :D

You're welcome. I just saw it come up on the feed and saw the notation about writer's block.
