Yes, absolutely miss her and always will. She was my writing mentor, my spirit lifter - plus, we even had our own form of Italian! She was my extra sister - and always will be. I went to Puglia to see where her history laid.. tis an incredible place with extraordinary 'architecture'! And so was she extraordinary.

Your words are a tribute, Neville, as well as a reminder that we have had special people as well as villains in this Cafe's history. Many thanks for sharing.

Yes indeed, Frieda was a very special individual and likewise deserves to have her memory preserved for all time here in the café where she made so many others feel comfortable, wanted and special ..

Would it be misunderstood to say I loved that dear woman. I think we shared something neither of us understood, she led me into self and turned me into a do what you will cos you can. I saw her as a fragile woman who was a very strong Frieda. Best way I can put it. Can't say more. sorry.

I heard the name of the poetess and perhaps I knew her too. I took breaks from wc often, and probably that's why the journey is not so vivid to me. She must be a beautiful soul. If she left the Cafe due to troll, then it is very sad. Only one thing I wanna ask: Do the people of wc still stand for the ones who are the victims of these dirty practices in this Cafe? I guess, no / not everyone does stand. How sad that we're missing wonderful people but remain silent (or keep the vigilant eyes or allowing troll with silence or provoking it with 'subtlety') when these things repeat here. Thank you, Neville that you consider the issue and put some genuine words and concern here.

Frieda was indeed a beautiful soul and there are many of us here who believe that she left the Café because of a particular individual .. I still think of her often and so wish she would return .. I miss Barleygirl and sereenaoutloud, FT Ledgrew Lynn, and a few others, Neville. I've had my run-ins with Trolls and equally by those who decided to block me for no apparent reason but that's life.

I had messaged Frieda few months ago regarding her come back to writerscafe but received no reply....I can no way declare a certain reason of Frieda's closed account....none of us can I guess except Frieda...
It's a pleasure to have you write upon the matter of her absence here...May she becomes active here again, soon!

What I enjoyed most about Freida was her endless array of poetical brilliance, her originality in literally everything she wrote, whether it was a poem, a comment, or a review, how her vibrant personality, and quick wit always shined through.
Among her works my favorites were the surprisingly impacting Haiku and Senryu like no one else's … for instance:

I am quite new and so don't know who Frieda is but your poem is lovely and indicates that she must have been a really wonderful writer and a sweet friend. I really liked the lines- I suspect because you frightened her away .Just like you have so many others. It's so true that the troller's do both discourage and frighten a writer and need to learn to appreciate others. I really wish I could have read some of her works.
